Dear Students, Parents, and Learning Coaches,
I am excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Ronda Sol and I will be your teacher this year! I have certainly been looking forward to the 2023-2024 school year. I commend you on your dedication to your children. Let’s work as a team to ensure that your child becomes an independent lifelong learner. I am here to answer questions and to support you every step of the way.
Let me tell you about myself. I received my Bachelors Degree in Communications and Art and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from St. Mary’s College in California (Go Gaels!). This will be my 27th year of teaching. I have taught students of all grade levels in California, North Carolina, and Washington. I was one of the first teachers hired at the Washington Virtual Academy in 2006, and boy, did I learn a ton. Now, with 17 virtual years under my belt, I hope to pass that knowledge on to you!
Mr. Sol and and I are the proud parents of two amazing boys. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, going on nature walks, exploring new places, creating educational resources, visiting used book stores, and photography. You will probably find me in the gym watching basketball in the winter and on the bleachers watching baseball in the spring - two of my favorite sports!
My students and I will see each other in Class Connect (Newrow) each day. This will be an important time of learning and working together live and on camera. Please be sure to attend all required CCs each day!
Our classroom blog is a great place to find new Math and ELA mini-lessons, videos, class information, and resources. I will update it often so please be sure to bookmark it!
Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or just to say hello. 😊
Here’s to a GREAT year!
Sincerely,
