Beginning in the 2009-10 school year, the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) will be replaced with the Measurements of Student Progress (MSP). The MSP will be shorter to take than the WASL and will be moved online over the next few years.
The MSP name conveys the goal of the test: to measure student progress. State testing should never be the sole judge of a student’s academic skills and knowledge. A student’s entire performance should always be considered.
As a public school, full-time WAVA 3rd-8th graders will take the MSP at various locations around the state. To help prepare for the assessment, please watch the recorded Elluminates, download the resource PDFs and visit the links on this page. Check back! This site will be updated as new resources become available.
